Tips to prevent from cold:

  • Not to be exposed to the dust, pollution and cool breeze. Cover yourself properly and cover your nose and mouth .
  • Sanitize with a sanitizer, after washing hands properly.
  • Drink lots of liquids and water. (at least 2 litres of water a day)
  • Drink boiled milk to which turmeric powder is added. Do not eat heavily prefer a light food,but do not skip the food completely.
  • Adequate sleep (at least 7 to 8 hours) is needed for body immunity.
  • Fruits containing Beta carotene have to be taken.Orange, red,yellow, green coloured fruits and vegetables are to be eaten.
  • Daily food which contains Vitamin-C are to be eaten.
  • Food supplements that provide Zinc should be eaten.
  • Light exercises are to be done.
  • Adequate rest should be taken in intervals.
These are some of the tips to be followed to prevent yourself from cold.

CHILD  CARE
In our homes,when children are there,we have to take lot of care regarding the electric switches and appliances,and other sharp edged articles.Some tips to be shared by mothers of small children are: 

  1. Electric plug points,electric switches should be in a height, should be out of reach of children.When the switches  are not in use, then close them with plug points.
  2. Do not leave your children alone with pets like cats and dogs.
  3. Do not leave glass materials in bathrooms,in reach of children.Donot leave children alone near water.
  4. Store blades ,knives,scissors and rajors in closed almirahs.
  5. Children do like playing, with plastic covers and keeping their head in  plastic bags,keep them out of reach.
  6. Window guards should be arranged so that children wont fall down.
  7. If you have sharp edged dining table,then cover it with a tablecloth.
  8. Dont keep or forget small articles like screws ,nails etc on the floor.Children may keep them in the mouth or swallow them.
TIPS FOR BUSY MOTHERS
  1. Busy mothers:Give training to your children to keep their books according to the timetable they have and keep the school bag neatly.
  2. Train them to dress themselves,eat tiffin fully,and do remember and convey small messages if any.
  3. Give them potty training.
  4. Wash their uniform on sundays and do iron them.
  5. Preserve some extra notebooks,pens ,pencils etc.,in the home,and you need not run to market if any such things are required.
  6. Wash and polish shoes etc on sundays,and train them to do some.If proper training is given they will learn in a few months of time.
  7. Plan your childs tiffin and lunch box a day before.This will reduce your morning hurry and tension.
  8. If the clothes of you child are faded,discard them,or they may dont like them and feel bad to ware them.
  9. If any repairs regarding sizes are to be done to the clothes of your child,do them accordingly on holidays or spare time.
  10. Last but not the least spend quality of time with them playing and teaching.

VAMU:AJWAIN--A MEDICINE FROM KITCHEN

  • Vamu-Ajwain,it is a good medicine from kitchen.Improves digestion,reduces vomittings,and stomach aches caused by indigestion.Also useful to clear heart problems.
  • Vamu,when dissolved in half glass of water,add a pinch of salt and when drunk the vommitings that caused by indigestion will be stopped.
  • Vamu,dhania,jeera-roast these three ingredients, powder them,add water and boil them for 15 to 20 min in low flame.Strain the decoction and take it as a medicine,for fever.Dont avoid medicines,along with medicines drink this kashayam.
  • Vamu,pepper,salt -take equal parts and powder them,store it.Take 1/2 tsp before meals,the indigestion will be cured.
  • Vamu,pepper -fry these 2 with a tsp of cowghee,add salt and store it.Daily while having meals,take 1 to 2 tsp of this mixture with a handful of cooked rice,and eat alongwith meals.In a short span your indigestion or gastric trouble will be cleared.
  • Vamu,have a tsp of vamu in the mouth,chew it and retain it in your mouth.The juice of vamu will clear the throat problems.

HEALTH TIPS:
Snoaring:

  • The people who have the habbit of snoaring in the sleep,often consider as watchman of  the house in the nights.Actually it is correct ,every body sleeping around a snoaring person ,cannot sleep in the night.
  • Snoaring persons while sleeping ,turn to the sides,then the snoaring will be reduced to some extent.Especially if they sleep towards left side,its good even for digestion.
  • If the people who snoar sleeps in a slanting position,the habbit of snoaring reduces. 
Drinking water in the early morning:
  • As soon as you wake up in the early morning,before natural calls,drink 1 to 2  big glasses of water,which is very good for health.
  • If this method is followed ,piles complaint,amoebiosis,typhoid,jaundice,obesity,indigestion,urinary infections,Bp,health problems related to ear, nose ,& throat,headache,sciatica,asthma,allergies etc.will not only be reduced but they will be controlled.If you  want to postpone the old age,observe this,and also drink water stored in a copper vessel.
Oil massage for feet:
  • If you are facing insomnia,lack of sleep,massage your feet ,with oil.
  • Even this massage  (with oil) will also be useful for people- who are having leg cramps,& burning sensation in legs,will  be relieved.
  • Relieves from tiredness, and lazyness.
  • Heals the cracks in the feet.
Date syrup:
  • Soak dried dates in water in the previous  night,and in the next  morning let children and eldersdrink them.By drinking the water they will be relieved from sunstroke.Deffects in the blood will be rectified,immunity system will be boosted ,TB and  motions,will be controlled .And fits and unconsciousness  etc, will be treated.Agood energy drink totally for children and elders.
Donot eat or drink too hot:

Laughing makes a man live longer..every body know the fact.But we in our daily routine loose temper for every thing. Really speaking by laughing and living happy a person lives healthily.

  • The persons who suffer with hypertension,and High BP ,if they laugh instead of grumbling,then his hypertension will be reduced by his  laughing.
  • Daily if  a person laughs wholeheartedly for 25 times,then the good  result of exercising  of 15 min in a health gym will be received by his heart.

ASTHMA-CHILDREN

When the child starts suffering with cough and wheezing do accupressure,give luke warm water first,and apply the oil prepared by harathi karpuram.

  • Let the children do atleast some of the Surya Namaskarams.
  • Pressurise the 2nd and 3rd finger tips of left hand(accu pressure)
  • Donot use sugar in the milk or food,use only patikabellam podi(sugar candy powder)
  • Mix turmeric powder and sugar candy powder, in the milk which they drink.
  • Can use buttermilk ,honey in their food.
  • In the nights donot give them rice,instead of rice feed them with coarse wheat(godhuma ravva) upma.
  • Let them not eat choclates and icecreams and drink ice water..
  • Lastly,Mix harathi karpuram (a small lump)in to 2 ounces or 50 ml of coconut oil and store it in a bottle.Lightly heat 2 spoons of oil to luke warm,in a small cup and apply on the front and back of the child.
  • Wash and dry the fruits of Ravi chettu (ravi pandlu) and powder them.Mix same ratio of sugar candy powder in it and store it.For children from 6 months to 3 years mix 2 to 3 pinches of this powder with honey and let them eat.The children who use this will get good memory,and be active.It reduces asthma in the children, and makes healthy the normal children who doesnt have asthma.Even elders can takehalf a spoon of this powderwith half spoon of honey as medicine.

In these days busy life majority of the people are becoming the victims of High BPdue to stress and anxiety.
To lessen the ill effects of the high BP try any few of these methods,in order to stay healthy.

  • The High BP suferrers should not neglect to take rest, and adequate sleep.
  • Try to practise yoga,pranayam and meditations.
  • Take in adequate amount of garlic with food compulsorily or else have garlic pill every alternative day.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of amla powder with one spoon of honey,and have it.
  • Daily morning have a tsp of lime juice and honey mixture with water.
  • Soak 1 tsp of methi seeds in 1/4 th cup of curds in the night,and have it next day morning.
  • Daily eat atleast one to two bananas in the morning.But watch out if you are obese,try another.
  • Daily morning walk for 15 minutes in the grass without slippers.
  • Daily have onion neither as a salaad,nor in curries or curd rice.
  • Daily have raw papaya for morn breakfast as a salaad.
  • For all the 365 days of a year if one can have a orange along with a breakfast then it will helpto reduce the BP problem.
  • Daily morn have a glass of carrot juice,and in the eve have a glass of palak leafy veg juice.
  • Try to eliminate coffee completely,if u cant stay then have a light tea daily.Green tea is the best.
  • Daily do exercise atleast for 30 min.
  • Stay away from pickles ,and lessen salt and oil in your food to a large extent.
  • Practice stress relaxing techniques daily.

  • Sunlight is an important source to live, to the living beings.
  • Daily a person should be exposed atleast for half an hour to the sunlight to remain healthy.
  • Persons who stay in a/c rooms,and a/c cars and a/c offices,and who lives in the artificial lights and bulbs all the whole day long ,generally feel mentally depressed.
  • The countries of northern region which doesnt have full sunlight,when compared to other places in the country,and other countries,will be naturally lightly depressive,and even the digestion will be poor,and its proved by research.
  • It is proved that light influences much on the mental condition of a human body.
  • Sunlight influences the pituatary gland,there by activating it.
  • Pituatary gland ,a master gland in human when it is activated ,the whole body turns active.
  • Even in zoos,wild animals,birds etc are active and they take  food normally and be active,,when the cages they live in are exposed to natural sunlight.  
  • It is observed even in poultry farms ,the production of eggs increase in nos,when there is natural light .
  • The children who are hyper active behave normally when exposed to normal sunlight.
  • Therfore its proved that light plays an important role in the moods and behaviour of the living beings.
  • Atleast by sitting under a tree or a umbrella,its no matter,see that atleast for  1/2 an hour your body is exposed tonatural light.
  • Daily remove all the doors and curtains of your house to invite the sunlight atleast for an hour.
  • Atleast at the time of sun rise and sun set expose yourself to natural sunlight .
  • For obese:it is a good information.You will eat less when you eat in dim light.
  • And lastly for students who study at nights and in offices who work at late eves ,the room should be lightened more.If its possible switch on 2 tubelights more and work.Your  will work very actively.

Every human or atleast 80% of people ,in a stage of Life suffer fronm Back Pain , especially the Ladies.Though there are many causes , mainly it is due to Stress ,Strain,Physical labour,and Lack of Rest.Disc problems, or Blockage of Blood Veins in the Lower Spine may be a cause.

Some Tips to lessen the Back pain:
1.Take proper Bed Rest,and do Mild and Light Exercises.Avoid Physical Labour.
2.Foods that contain Fats and Cholestrol should be avoided.
3.Boiled Vegetables should be taken.
4.Avoid Frys and Spicy foods.
5.Fruits and Fruit Juices are to be taken regularly.
6.Daily increase the intake of Garlic and Ginger.

Regularise your Eating Habbits:

Some People take 70 percent of the total Food,from morning to afternoon 2 pm. And the balance of 30 percent before 8 pm in the night.And sleep @ 9.30 to 10 pm.
This is a very good habbit and increases the Longetivity of the Life.
Where as for some people its quite opposite.They wake up late in the morning,and due to their Busy Schedule every thing will be fast,the Breakfast, Lunch etc.Due to lack of time they eat very less quantities ,and in the nights they have a Heavy Dinner and go to Sleep.That is they eat only 30 percent of the food in the morn and afternoon Lunch. And the remaining amount of Intake 70 percent in the Eve and in the Night.
The HumanBodies Metabolism rate wii be more in the Morn, and it decreases till Evening.The food we take in the Morn turns in to Energy, making us more Active and Energetic.Since Afternoon the metabollic rate will be decreased ,therefore the Calorie Intake will be deposited in the form of Fats,Cholestrol ,Obesity which leads to several Health problems that Shortens the Life Span.
The Breakfast should be Heavy, the Lunch should be Normal,the Dinner should be Less. There is a Proverb in Indian Culture, Eat Breakfast as a Prince(Pampered), the Lunch should be like a King (Normal), and the Dinner should be like a Beggar(Minimum). This policy is to be followed.
Morning have a Heavy Nutritous Breakfast,  and also have a Nice Lunch in the Afternoon, and the Nights Dinner should be only less than One fourth of the Morning Breakfast.
It is said by our Gurus,Elders and Ancestors and Yoga Masters, to have more than 70 percent of the total food we consume should be done before 2 Pm. The rest before 8 Pm.And not to sleep immediately after the Dinner.This Habbit of Living increases the Quality of the Life.
Totally one has to take 50 percent of the capacity of the Stomach with Food,20 percent  with Water,30 percent with Air.HATS OFF to the Gurus ,Yoga Masters,and our Elders for the Advice they have given us.

There can be so many reasons for the sore tongue. You may have to diagnose the reasons for it.
You have to seek doctor’s help if it persists long.
Some of the reasons include:
1.      Emotional Stress.
2.      Dehydration.

4.      Sometimes teeth start getting sharp and hurt the tongue and can cause ulcers.

Turn SUMMER TO Super Cool Summer:




In the Summer season, though how careful we are,take extra care not to get Dehydration,Sun-Tan,Excessive perspiration,body odour,and dry skin in rocky places which cause tiny summer wrinkles to appear,etc skin ailments.



Every body sweats and loseslots of water.Do take lots of Water,coconut water,Buttermilk with Salt,and Lime water,Healthy drinks made with powdered Millets,what we call Ragi java etc.And also soups to be included in the Menu.Foods to be included are Cabbage,Tomatoes,Daals and Beans,Bananas and Sprouts,Raisins & Leafy vegetables especially Palak.

Regarding Sunscreen ,foods that are red,orange,yellow and green in colour,such as Kheera,Tomato,Carrot,Capsicum,acts as sunscreen protective layer in the body,resulting the reflection of Ultra Violet Rays.

Fruits control the body heat, so Water Melon is a good option.Pine apple ,Banana,Grapes and Cherries also play an important role.For those who cant take fruits can prepare fruit salaads,and milk shakes with fat less Milk.

To maintain Oral Health Curds,Butter Milk,Milk are to be drunk.Foods which have Antioxidants can be taken to prevent from summer.Glucose water can be consumed in the afternoon.



Regarding skin,as the temperature rises in hot months,extra cleansing is necessary for oily skin people.Another big problemis excessive perspiration and body odour.Twice a day (atleast) take bathwith soap and plenty of water.And certain areas where perspiration is excessive ,should be dusted liberally with talcum powder.

For Infants,they should be bathed in afternoon in water to which a few drops of cologne have been added.Dust their bodies liberally with talcum powder.

For topto-toe freshness ,cleanse your hair atleast weekly twice.

For tired eyes wrap crushed ice in a piece of cloth and aplly it to closed eyelids.Relax for 15 minutes.

Ensure the feeling of freshness by keeping all your personal belongings clean.Cotton clothes are prefferred,and all the sarees,dresses,etc should be starched and well pressed for a neat appearance.

When ironing clothes,place a pad of cotton soaked in cologne or your favourite perfume by your side and run the pad on the clothes before ironing.Your pleasantly fragrant clothes will make u feel cooland fresh.

Do away all the nylons,shiffons and georgettes and silks,and bring out light cotton dresses,cool voils and crispy organdies in light shades.Avoid too many accessories.

The makeup should be reduced to the minimum.Foundation creams andlotions should be avoided.Finish make up with a light puff of powder.

Be liberal with flowers.Use plenty of them in your hair.Spray on your favourite perfume and when you go out you feel as pleasantly fresh and cool as though you are in a hill station.
